| I will consider any motivated and enthusiastic student interested in insect systematics, however in most cases a compatible applicants' research interests should fall into at least one (and preferably two) of the following areas: (1) Coleoptera, (2) Aquatics, or (3) Neotropics.
While my lab's research program is varied, I strongly emphasize specimen and field-based research; all students working in my lab will be expected to conduct fieldwork and collections-based activities as part of their degree.
Interested students should contact me well before applying. The deadline for applications through the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is usually December 15 for admission the following Fall.
